New Bradwell is the sort of place where access can make or break a collection. We regularly help people in terraces, flats, maisonettes and smaller family homes where furniture has to be carried through narrow hallways, up and down stairs, or out through communal entrances without damageing walls, bannisters or flooring.
When you book furniture clearance with us, we plan for the reality of the property, not just the item list. That might mean parking carefully on a built-up residential street, keeping a route clear through shared access, or breaking down larger pieces before moving them. Sofas, wardrobes, beds, tables, cabinets and mixed room sets all come under the same service, and we treat each one as a bulky carry job rather than a simple lift-and-load.
Because New Bradwell is close to our Milton Keynes base, we can usually move quickly when you need a short-notice collection. It is one of the shortest runs we do, which helps when you are trying to clear a room before new furniture arrives or before decorators turn up.
We also know that replacement-day timing matters. If your new sofa is coming from one of the Winterhill or Burners Lane furniture shops, it is often better to get the old piece out first so there is space to work and less risk of delays at the door. If you just want a clean, simple handover and a room ready for the next delivery, we can help you line that up properly.
If a sofa, bed frame, table or cabinet still has useful life left in it, we look for the cleanest route to reuse. That might mean a direct handover to a local charity outlet where the item is suitable, rather than sending it straight for disposal.
Not every item can be passed on again. Damaged upholstery, broken frames and mixed-material furniture may need to go through licensed disposal or recycling channels. For items that have reached the end of the road, New Bradwell Recycling Centre on Newport Road is a few minutes away.
If you are getting a new suite, bed or dining set delivered, we can time the clearance so the old furniture is out first. That gives you a clearer landing space, easier access for drivers, and less pressure on the day when everything is happening at once.
If you want furniture removed from New Bradwell without the hassle of hiring a van or trying to shift heavy items yourself, we keep the job straightforward from first contact to final sweep-up.
Pick up the phone - we are ready when you are.
We are often called by people who simply do not want the strain of moving large furniture themselves. That includes residents in flats and terraces, households without a van, and anyone dealing with awkward upstairs items that will not fit safely through the door in one go.
It is also a good fit if you have a replacement delivery booked and need the old furniture gone first. Whether it is a sofa swap, a bedroom refresh, or a dining set being replaced before decorating starts, we can help you make space on time.
Landlords and letting agents also use us when a property needs to be turned around quickly and bulky items are left behind. And if something is simply too heavy, too awkward or too risky to move to the tip safely, we can take care of it properly for you.
How it works
Send over the furniture items, access details and any timing needs, especially if there are stairs, shared entrances or a delivery deadline.
We will look at the carrying route, parking and item size so we can plan the job properly before we arrive.
Our team does the heavy lifting, moving bulky furniture out cleanly and with as little disruption as possible.
Where suitable, furniture is directed towards reuse or recycling routes rather than being treated as ordinary rubbish.

We cover New Bradwell and the surrounding Milton Keynes towns and villages.
Local knowledge
New Bradwell is a village of 3,509 at the 2021 census, about two miles north-west of Central Milton Keynes, bounded by the Great Ouse to the north and the Grand Union Canal to the east.
It exists for one reason: the first purpose-built houses went up in 1854–56 for workers at the Wolverton railway works nearby. What that leaves is street after street of terraced housing of a very consistent type — and terraces are the most predictable job we do, and the most constrained.
Narrow frontages, no driveway, on-street parking, a straight run from the front door to the pavement and stairs built for the furniture of the 1850s. That last point is usually what decides how a wardrobe or sofa actually comes out. If there is rear access, that is genuinely useful to know when you book.
The parish has one Grade II* listed building, the Church of St James, and eight Grade II structures. The modern Bradwell Aqueduct was the first of its kind built over the Grand Union in over a century; canalside and riverside properties can have restricted vehicle access.
The onward route is worked out before the van is loaded rather than after. Anything still usable is kept separate as we go, and only what is genuinely finished with goes for disposal.
Charity and reuse shops nearby
We cannot promise any particular shop will accept a given item — that is always their call on the day — but sorting for reuse first is how we keep as much as possible out of the skip.
Where waste from New Bradwell jobs goes
These are the three Milton Keynes City Council recycling centres. You do not need to visit any of them yourself — the point of booking us is that the loading, the trip and the disposal are all covered.
